Someone has the vapors over justice being served - that same person likely has no problem with an abortion being performed up to the last minute.
Headline should have read “Arkansas makes a good start.”
So many murders . . . so few executions.
Nitrogen Asphxyation - simply the least expensive, painless, lawyer free way to execute someone.
Strap them down; put on a brain wave monitor, put on a breathing mask, flow 100% at 1.1 atmospheres and wait for the brain waves to go flat.
“Difficulty getting execution drugs” was Nebraska’s excuse when they tried to end the death penalty. A referendum brought it back.
They just need to change the method of execution. There is no shortage of bullets. Or people who will fire them.
I wonder how this killing spree compares to the killing that the condemned did? Were they ever called sprees?
The Texas Department of Corrections has a website for their Death Row.It shows,among other things a list of those executed and the "last statement" made by each one before death.A surprisingly large percentage (surprising to *me*.at least) of those who made a statement (not all do) accepted responsibility for the crime,expressed remorse to the family of their victim *and* asked for God's forgiveness.
I'm inclined to be impressed by such guys...and inclined to suspect that these guys actually did have a conscience.

We need to call in the experts. I wonder if Kim Jong Un would be interested in a little consulting cash? Borrow an antiaircraft cannon, throw a party, televise the thing on pay-per-view. I know it sounds cruel, but not one of the prisoners has complained.
It would be wonderful if all the governors could coordinate on a “spring cleaning” month every year. As the first robins of spring arrive happily chirping in the parks and meadows, and as the first daffodils sleepily push up after their long winter slumber, we could start cleaning out the death rows, getting them ready for a new year. For many death rows, it has been a long time since they’ve had a thorough top to bottom “scrubbing”.

It’s well past time capital punishment was dealt out.
Likely the people on death row had their own killing spree and nobody in the media is giving a rip about the victims or their families.
IMO, if DNA nails the murderer, the appeals process is considerably shortened. In the same vein, if DNA is conclusive, no plea bargaining Murder One down to Murder Two, or worse yet, Manslaughter.
Murderers today send more time on death row than their victims did on planet Earth.
