In an interview on "The View," actor Patrick Stewart said he is applying to become a U.S. citizen in order to help fight back against President Trump.
While recounting a recent visit to Washington D.C., Stewart said he had "the worst night's sleep for years and years and years," joking that President Trump might have been to blame.
Stewart referenced his tweet to "The View" hosts, calling it “fairly innocent,” and saying he “did not directly insult your president."
“Not mine,” Whoopi Goldberg said in response. When host Joy Behar asked if the English actor would be willing to take Trump off American’s hands, Stewart joked, “We have our own problems."
“I’m not a [U.S.] citizen,” Stewart said. “However, there is, maybe it’s the only good thing, as the result of this election: I am now applying for citizenship. Because I want to be an American too.”
“All of my friends in Washington said, ‘There is one thing you can do. Fight, fight, oppose, oppose,’” Stewart said.
I think we have met our quota of liberal actors here in America so, denied. Maybe apply again when you become a useful human being.
If he really hates America that much then it would be best if he simply stayed away.

“Fight, fight, oppose, oppose,” Stewart said. But can you actually articulate what it is you are opposing? Is it radical Islam that wants to kill you and everyone like you? Of course not. Is it America’s sovereignty? Maybe that’s it.

In the oath I took oh so many years ago I promised to defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. Patrick fits the bill. Application denied!
He wants to become a citizen so he can be yet another clueless, leftist PITA? Sorry, we have enough homegrown ones already. Various parts of my life put me in contact with a lot of non-citizens. I would choose almost of them as my countrymen before i would choose this clown. Bugger off, Stewart.
He should stay home, STFU and play with his cats.
