So it was seen by 2.5 million people. Base on average $8.65 per ticket.

“strong message”
All movies and all TV programs are made for the purpose of sending a message. None are made just for entertainment.

Moonlight = “Brokeback in the Hood”

Not intending this to be a spoiler in any way - Hacksaw Ridge has a lot of setup prior to any battle scenes.
It was this setup dialogue that brought us into the film.
You’ll see...

I wonder what it feels like to win an award by affirmative action.

You want to make an Oscar shoe-in? Make it Black and Gay. Throw in an abortion and evil Christian hate mongers, and it's a sure thing. You forgot the portrayal of evil capitalists.

I just looked it up. They say production costs were only $1.5 million. That seems ridiculously low. I wonder how much it really cost to make.No stars, no special effects, no crazy camera shots coming that need helicopters, no car chases, nothing getting blown up, no exotic locations, no adertising. Movies like this don't cost much.

Moonlight and Broken-morals Mountain are films I have no interest in watching. They are played only for their extremely narrow audiences, and they otherwise exist for the rest of the Ctrl-Left to applaud their “diversity” without ever watching them. Pathetic.
