Congratulations to every racer, thank you to every volunteer, and biggest kudos to the wonderful towns and villages along the 2000-mile course that make the worlds longest and toughest snowmachine race happen! Extremely tough conditions causing mechanical hardships forced more teams out of the race than reached the checkered flag this year, so total admiration is due all finishers.
Team #41 ran brilliantly and reached Fairbanks first, but the race may not be over. Not by a long shot.

Her take on the state of the Iron Dog Race this year.
Thanks for the ping - really nice post from Sarah. SO glad Todd made it back & that Dakota was a big help. After a rough start (Bristol/Dakota), I’m sure working together to get Todd up and driving a sled again helped bring the entire family closer together.
Pinging Todd’s list. I recommend clicking through to Sarah’s page on the Iron Dog. The message of Todd’s recovery is inspiring.
What a hunk! THUDD!
