I worked at a weapons lab in the 90s where the army attempted to build bridges for armor out of foam. Didn’t work worth a damn, but it was funny as heck watching them pump this stuff by the tons, only to be pulverized over and over again.

Good catch.
Current body armor is very heavy and a pain, with many Special Operations types refuse to wear it on raid type missions where speed and stealth are critical.
This looks much better.
