• TripAdvisor has released its 2017 Travelers' Choice Awards, naming the 25 best beaches in the US.
• Florida's Siesta Key Beach claims the title of America's best beach, followed by coastal stretches across the country in Hawaii, California, Georgia, and more.
• TripAdvisor also found the cheapest month to visit each beach destination, and the average rate for a hotel room there.

The world is full of gorgeous beaches, so it's easy to forget that the US has some spectacular beaches of its own — especially if you don't live along the coast.

TripAdvisor's 2017 Travelers' Choice Awards, which names the 25 best beaches in the country, serves as a reminder. The selected beaches — based on millions of reviews from travelers using the website between 2015 and 2016 — are sprinkled across the nation in places like Cape Cod and Honolulu.

TripAdvisor has also figured out the cheapest month of the year to travel to each destination, as well as the average cost of a night in a hotel, to help you organize a trip.

Here are the top-rated beaches to prompt your vacation planning:

One of my far back ancestors was Governor of Pensacola during the Creek Indian wars. Forget his name.....Owned by the Spanish and he supplied the Red Sticks with weapons.

Lived in Sacto 17 years loved to hit the mother lode country and Tahoe. Aways wanted to live by the beach though. Looking at water as I type this (explains spelling).

Roll Tide!!

And Apalatchicola is one of my favorite spots.

St. George Island just across the bridge is beautiful and the beach at the State Park should be on this list too. It’s on mine anyway.

It sounds like he may have been one of the guys hanged by Andy Jackson.

I don’t remember him getting hanged. Sounds like he deserved it though. I live about 30 miles from Horseshoe Bend. Jacksons Trace runs right through the middle of town. Bunch of Tennessee Volunteers were buried at Cedar Creek before they backed up Lay Lake. Still a memorial cemetery there(on dry land of course) on General Jackson Memorial Dr.

Lot of history. Ought to be ashamed I haven’t paid better attention to it.

What a great gift!

I’m pretty much all about Noah’s flood being the real deal. :-)

My personal favorite is Hana, Maui’s Hamoa Beach:

Nice! The one that I mentioned that is near there on Hana Bay is sometimes known as Waikoloa Beach, although that can be very confusing since there is a beach on the Big Island that is more commonly known by that name. I would pull out old pictures and scan them, but it is easier to get someone else's off of the internet:
