A witness told police that Darren Clark, 50, had gotten into an argument with his roommate of three years, Charles Jones, because Jones didn't flush the toilet after using it.
If you have to get into an argument, this would be a good reason. How about a courtesy flush over there?

Violence against “roommate” of three years is classed as “family violence”? I think I see what’s going on here ...

Had a roommate in college who wouldn’t flush. I concluded It was a kind of mental illness. I think he had mommy issues

Should have bought some of that VIPoo that they advertise on TV. According to the commercial, all of the Hollowoodies use it.

Don’t you know that every time you flush a toilet, you pollute the streams and rivers and raise the level of the ocean?

A clear violation of the Roommate Contract.
If this was a second or third offense then physical violence may have been called for.
Or alternatively he could have been sentenced to seven days of Sheldon Cooper expounding on the various details of the Roommate Contract and another seven days of the fine art of the Interpersonal Relationship Contract followed by three days of Rajesh waxing poetic about anything sexual.
After that he would NEVER forget to flush.

One reads these articles and wonders, who in the world would resort to stabbing someone because of the toilet seat not being put down?
But then I see the attacker's photo and it answers my own question.
Nevermind....

This might be legal. What does their roommate agreement say about not flushing?

Courtesy Flush aside, basic SOP is; if it’s yellow, it can mellow. If it’s brown, flush it down.
