Arghh! I have a couple Polk speakers hooked up to two Behringer A500 amps and one of them just bit the dust!
Must be Trump!! (/sillyassshit)
Now THIS is the kind of thread I expect on a Friday night! Listening to Zappa’s Charlie’s Enormous Mouth just now.
Roger that. I’m running Magneplanar 3.7is with an ARC DSI200. Breathtaking realism5.
Even speakers can be redlined. :-)
Walking through the jungle of Behringer products, old and new, is truly a dangerous trek. Some of their stuff is horribly bad, especially when it comes to anything involving an amplifier. Some of it is iffy, like rack gear that had good years and bad years depending on where they were made and when. Their new digital boards are not bad at all (gobbling up Midas really DID help). I’ve owned some and still do, but yeah, get a Crown amp.
“Bose speakers... You can stop there. Professional Musicians apparently have ruined their hearing. (Bose speakers are terrible.)”
When used properly in the right application they can be very nice, if overpriced. Just don’t try to push them or use them without more than adequate power and a decent sub.
Magneplanars? Quick, someone post the pic of Homer with a donut.....YUM!!!
I feed ‘em with an ARC CD5. All lashed together with AntiCables interconnects and speaker wires. Exquisite.
Agree with everyone who said “Crown”. Best amp out there for the price, especially when Musicians Friend runs a blow-out. I now own three of them.
Very nice. Solid gear.
Not anymore - Behringer is pretty much leading the industry in Digital Mixers. I have both the X32 and the XR18 - and they are simply the best pieces of audio gear I have ever owned. Sound is incredible - and function is the best. Love mixing with a tablet!
I guess I should toss out my 32 channel Allen and Heath console and 3 QSC amps along with all my other top of the line gear for those cheap Behringer rack mounts . I’ve already had experience with that junk ,, no more ,,,, no thanks .
Well I tore the system down to individual components, tested them all in both channels, and it all works.
Put it back together and everything is OK now!
So it’s just one of them thingies!!
Now I CAN turn it to 11!
Thanks to all for your suggestions and comments!
Trump on!
Well I have a pellet stove which no matter what you do, emits a very fine layer of dust... it’s been since last year that I actually dusted near my stereo setup, which I did the other day, musta knocked something loose.
I know some people that say they need a sub. I disagree.
Is that you?

Properly set up, they don’t. And I cheat. They’re on Mye Engineering stands. Everything snaps into focus and you get the bass they’re really capable of.
