A photo of Ivanka Trump casting what appears to be a meaningful gaze at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has prompted fevered speculation on social media over what might have been going through Ms Trump's mind.
The photo was taken on Monday during a roundtable discussion about women in the workforce, for which Ivanka "helped recruit participants and set the agenda", as AP reports.
During Mr Trudeau's visit to the White House Canada and the US announced a joint task force to help women in the workplace, looking at issues such as childcare and maternity leave.
However, with a level of seriousness a cynic might say is rather typical of social media, Twitter users focused on the (entirely imaginary) budding romance between the Canadian Prime Minister and the First Daughter.
The photos was picked up on by Trevor Noah, host of the The Daily Show, who commented during Monday evening's programme: "She looks like she’s ready to risk it all. She looks like she’s considering dressing up as a Syrian refugee just so Canada will take her in, like, ‘Let me in, Justin!'
“And I get it, because Ivanka is an attractive, vibrant young woman," he continued, speaking over a photo of Donald Trump's cabinet: "And ever since her dad became president, have you seen the men she has to hang out with? Look at these guys!”

These media types are despicable. Why not call out and embarrass Ivanka & her husband over something you made up? Loser.
The grab segment from the video actually shows the second or two after Trump said “They probably want a handshake” when they were sitting for pictures and extended his hand. It took Trudeau a moment to figure out what Trump meant. Its a shame the dishonest social media folks are given any bandwidth at all.

You can either ignore it or respond in kind. One is a LOT more fun than the other.
Was she impressed by the crease in his pants? Did she have tingles up the leg? Does she think he is “sort of a god?” Does she think he in amlightened spritual “lightworker?”

The agenda is to sexualize everything. Ivanka is a beautiful woman and just doesn’t have the feminist ‘hag’ snarl, she is bright, articulate, and successful, oh the horror! Get use to it, she has the power that the media desired for Hillary and Chelsea. They would be fawning all over the ‘mutual’ respect that seems to be shown in these pictures had it been Clinton rather than Trump.
