2/9/17: In the middle of a massive Nor’easter expected to dump up to 18 inches of snow across the area, a Facebook event called “anyone and everyone” to come to Boston Common to take part in a huge snowball fight....plus a few slingshot attempts near the end.
I never understand what’s with naming winter storms now. They are naming them as if they are hurricanes.
What’s next? Names for summer thunderstorms????
I assume “Niko” rhymes with “psycho.” In any case, where do they come up with such silly names?
And how do they decide is a storm is big enough to get a name? Certainly they aren’t going to name every passing front which produces snow flurries........

Cheesy as it sounds, and even though that is Boston (my old hometown) , and even though it’s mostly libs (not just because it’s Boston, but because they are not working :-)) ... that is America Great Again.

They’re calling THAT 18”? That looks like barely 3-4” tops.
they started doing this when their predictions that there would more and bigger hurricanes after Katrina never happened. So they started naming winter storms. Then they can rush out with their annual statements about how we had more named storms this year than ever before in history, implying that the weather is worse when they are just naming more storms. The stupid are fooled, they get their grants.

Yes - it was. This year things got reversed. (Trump’s revolution, THEN the snowball fight).
See, I told those “nor easter’s” to hang loose and have some fun, they can’t do a damn thing about the wx so enjoy the day off from work.
