My older brother told me in the late 1950’s to not trust anything the UN said or did. He had just received a medical discharge from the USAF. I was a know it all teenager but it started making sense the older I got. I miss him. He had flown on bombers testing bombs. The definitive book on Alger Hiss was “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers, who testified against him in 1949 and 1950.

This book was published in 1952 and runs about 600 pages. Some libraries still have copies.

Hiss was in the state Department from 1935 on, with Chambers, and both were Communists with direct ties to Mother Russia.

A young Congressman, Richard Nixon, led the charge.

And the Communist Left in the US got their revenge on him by removing him from office.
