Meet the 'World's First' Professional Bed Warmer - Who Comes With an Eye-Watering Price Tag
Mirror (U.K.) ^ | 2/8 | Chris Murphy

Viktoria Ivachyova decided to turn herself into a human hot water bottle for hire after being inspired by a book with a character that did the same No-one really likes getting in a cold bed, so one entrepreneurial Russian woman charges men to get between their chilly sheets and get them all cosy.

And she says she leaves behind what she calls a positive energy to ensure a good night's sleep.

Viktoria Ivachyova, 21, says she is a human bed-warmer for hire.

She charges £65 per night or £1,350 per month to lay in strangers’ beds for an hour to ensure they are nice and warm when they turn in.

And customers are already lining up to pay her for the bizarre service.

Now Viktoria is putting together a team of female bed warmers to keep up with demand.

She tells clients they can be in the room while she warms their bed, but there is to be no physical contact between them.

To enforce these rules, she carries a panic button to call for a security team in case anyone decides they want more than they paid for.

After booking a slot, she arrives before their bedtime, puts on her pyjamas and lays on their bed for an hour. The client is allowed to talk to her during this time, if they want to.

Viktoria says she’s a great listener, and some men even chat about their problems.

After listening to one depressed man, she said in the morning he called her again and said: "Vika, you’re magic. Today I woke up, and I want to live."

Even better than an electric blanket — an electric mattress pad (goes under the fitted sheet) — Magic!!

I think this is more a case of lonely people (guys?) who just like to have someone nice to talk to for an hour.

I used to have an electric mattress cover that did a bang-up job of warming the bed for less than 20 bucks and a little juice.

It never hauled my ashes, though.......

I've heard it called a lot of things, but a "bed-warmer" for money, well, that's new even for me.

But if she can make a kopek or two selling the only part of her that will ever matter (and not her yoo-hoo), for money, she won't be the last.

Tears of Joy or Impoverishment?

I think that's fairly cynical, and that mayhaps there's just a tad of 'projection' going on. As in, "your Freudian slip is showing..."

LOL!

Besides, it doesn’t take an hour to warm a bed.

It does if you're doing it right.
