Sat down today to watch my first live briefing of Sean Spicer with media. Very surprised and pleased to see him take live questions via SKYPE with local reporters.
One from Cincinnati, one from Texas, one from Virginia.... so far. Great idea. Goes beyond the sleazy Beltway fake news outlets.... and gives way for more specific questions about what "flyover" country cares about.
Big Media losing again.
I love the daily press beatings :)
Yes great.
Been watching and am hooked on the briefings.
News straight from the source.
Great idea....
The Control-LEFT media will look at this and whine.
Pretty soon, the entire nation will realize the emperor has no clothes.
This is brilliant!
More opportunity to shout
WINNING!!!!!!
New doors being opened - slamming into the faces of opponents. Put some ice on it, fellows.
The representatives SHOULD live among those they represent, not the one stop influence shop in DC!
Waiting for the day Melissa Sczyczymanski from WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio gets a question before the WaPo.
I mentioned this as a possibility when the press started whining about the briefing room. Technology means physical proximity isn’t needed to conduct press briefings.

Good for him. I’ve never understand why past administrations never did this. All politics is local, after all.
Sean also took a question from CNN today.
Was it the first time they took a question from CNN?
They should just do a FB-like page, where people submit questions and they are listed, and the answers are typed or even a video response
“I love this new style of the Press briefings...it includes everyone, which the mainstream media is having a hemorrhage about, but I love it and so do a lot of people I talk to...”
Yup, it’s great. IMO, Sean should have a briefing, un-announced to the MSM, where he takes only questions via Skype. Make those a-holes sit there on their thumbs and listen to questions from outside the DC swamp. That would be great!!!!
Not sure. It was the first one I noticed since Trump ripped Jim Acosta a new one.
He is getting closer to my idea, which is a LOTTERY for the media.
Each media outlet that wants to send a reporter enters a weekly lottery to determine which reporters will be chosen for the White House Briefing Room. Since the room only seats 40, and there are fire codes mind you, then only 40 reporters selected for any one week.
And to avoid ALL APPEARANCES of being biased on the part of the White House, the reporters will be chosen RANDOMLY from whoever applies. So if 400 outlets apply, then, for a given week, the NY Times or CNN (or anyone else), will have a one in ten chance of getting into the White House Briefing Room...the others can watch it on CNN. So the Oshkosh Times would have as much chance as the Washington Post to have a reporter in there.
Sounds fair to me, at least.
What a great idea!
President Trump is always 2 moves ahead of the media, and 4 moves ahead of the Democrats.
Fun to watch.
