Ah well...just a bunch of little pricks.
My ideals are shattered, I’m telling ya.
“...at a VIP hideaway and clothes were not required...”
Sounds like a JFK weekend at Peter Lawford’s, Bing Crosby’s, or one of his yacht excursions.
I’m not excusing anything they did, but the world smells different to a midget.
And a hurl button too ;)
“I’m telling you, Dave, there’s nothing worse than a herd of horny munchkins.”
I used to live about four blocks from the site of the Garden of Allah.
So her real name was Frances Gumm Luft?
I was into classic film actors, was a huge fan of Ava Gardner so read/know a lot about Rooney, he being her 1st husband and all...anyhow yea, as far as I know/heard, Rooney and Garland were platonic; however, he was an ass to say as I recall, that she had a crush on him but he wasn’t interested cause she wasn’t pretty enough for him. The studio executives turned her into a walking apothecary.
yes, they were concerned about her weight and got her on pills. She also came from a dysfunctional family. Her father had “issues” to put it nicely. And Mickey Rooney slept with anyone from what I have read.
It hasn’t been terribly long ago that married couples could not be depicted as sharing the same bed. Dez and Lucy had twin beds on TV. In the movies, before that, if two people were shown in bed together, each had to have at least one foot on the floor. Meanwhile, behind the cameras ...
