VATICAN CITY (AP) — Look out, Lady Gaga. The pope is joining the Super Bowl frenzy.
Pope Francis has recorded a video message that will be shown during Sunday's Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.
A Vatican spokesman says the message is expected to be played on the screen at NRG Stadium in Houston either before the game or during the first quarter.
In the message, the pope says he hopes the Super Bowl will be "a sign of peace, friendship and solidarity for the world."
Francis is an avid sports fan who often speaks of how sports can bring about social change. He has previously taken to Twitter for the Olympics and soccer's World Cup. This is his first Super Bowl message.

A leaked copy of the Pope’s video has revealed the Pontiff will offer the following observations: “I’m looking for a tightly contested game, matching Atlanta’s explosive offense against New England’s more methodical and controlled offense. Quarterbacks notwithstanding, I think the game will feature a heavy dose of the Patriot’s backs. The game will most likely will come down to which defense can get off the field. I like the Patriots’ chances.”

As a Catholic I can’t tell you how disturbing this is on so many levels.
Now if I believed he would actually preach the Gospel as commanded, I would say, great platform with millions watching. But I already know he won’t. He should be about our Father’s business but instead he’s all about his own, which makes him a false prophet in my eyes.
I predict that no matter WHAT is said; half (or more) of our FR Catholics will NOT approve of it!

I’m Catholic as well and this Pope absolutely disgusts me.. Maybe he has, but I really can’t recall one thing he ever said about the persecution of Christians around the world plus he damn well knows Trumps actions are SOLELY to protect people!! It makes me wonder just how much George Soros is in his pocket.
