A Jones County family experienced a nightmare come true when a rattlesnake slithered up inside their toilet last week.
Big Country Snake Removal says the family contacted them after finding the adult snake in their toilet.
When officials arrived on scene, the company investigated the property and found 24 rattlesnakes total in the familys storm cellar and under the house. Five were babies and the rest were adults.

Yikes, imagine getting bitten on the backside. We had a 6 ft. racer come out of the toilet and no one stayed long enough to take pictures.
Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes?
Was your bowl as clean as that one?
One of my biggest fears!!! Indiana~
Great.... now I gotta poop in a bucket from here on out...
Toilet snakes! They all thought I was crazy, but now they’ll regret it, oh yes they will...
That’s a real Obama (Pain is the a$$)
You won’t find any rats in that house.
Town, or septic system?
Read story and I immediately looked around my feet. Just a reflex when you live in Texas with eight different species of rattlesnakes.
Was Beulah Balbricker on the throne at the time?
Doctor said you gonna die.
Blow the house up! Burn the remains, salt the ground it stood on!
Don’t. Like. Snakes.
AARRGGHHHH
Speaking as a Native Texan I can say there's a small fortune in those snakes.
Everything about them is worth money.
The Venom commands a good price.
The rattles sell pretty well,
The skins are worth a lot.
The meat is yummie if one knows how to prepare it.
Pity it's too far to drive to make it worth my while.
24 rattlers in the storm cellar? Someone lost total situational awareness.
What? Chuck Shummer is in Texas?
I stayed in an old ranch house in Texas one night and the basement was FULL of caged rattlers. The beds were high off the floor and the light was a bare bulb with a long string so you could turn on the light and see if anything was there. I didn’t sleep a wink.
Good thing they found the snakes before a tornado came through and they had to hit the storm cellar....yikes!
