From July 1st it will no longer be forbidden for men who have had sex with men to give blood — provided they have been celibate for the past 12 months.

Medical watchdog Swissmedic has approved the request, lodged by blood donor service Swiss Transfusion SRC last June, reported news agencies on Tuesday.

Currently, all men in Switzerland who have had sex with another man since 1977 are barred from donating blood — a rule brought in during the 1980s to stop the spread of AIDS.

However, medical groups have argued that the presence of new diagnostic tools that can detect HIV/AIDS in a matter of days now make a total ban unnecessary. …

Three things I believe about homosexual men: 1) they have a mental disorder, 2) most, if not all, are promiscuous and 3) many, if not most, do not warn partners of a transmittable disease they have. Using blood drawn from a homosexual man is like playing Russian roulette.

I was referring to other sexually transmitted diseases, which could be tainting the blood supply if homosexual men donated blood.

Switzerland’s gay blood donation now matches the US - 1 year deferral.

I wonder if they tell you the blood is coming from a gay ?

Perhaps the blood from gays should first be used on only gays and see how that goes for awhile.

Seattle may experiment with this same idea after well publicized Gay protests at several donor centers.

I stopped giving blood about 18 months ago because of my concerns about accidental infections.

Many Gay activists have threatened to donate without reporting they are Gay.

It was already bad enough that some Gays gave blood just to get conveniently tested for free.

But now, the consequences of this impending “liberation” are becoming obvious - fewer straight donors are willing to take the risk.

I get emails every week now that plead for my blood donation.

They have even offered to pay me for participating in various “studies.”

Sorry - no level of risk is acceptable to me when the issue is HIV and Hepatitis.

“provided they have been celibate for the past 12 months.”

Honor system? How would you check?

“Why do gays want so badly for us to use their blood?”

They want to feel normal, like the rest of us. But they’re not.

Well, then, USA doesn’t discriminate against homosexuals giving blood, either - as long as they’ve been celibate for a year.

“Why do gays want so badly for us to use their blood?”

Because faggies want to infect us “breeders”, whom they hate.

Perhaps the blood from gays should first be used on only gays and see how that goes for awhile.

Actually, that's not a bad idea!

Since such blood recipients might already be infected with numerous sexually-transmitted diseases prevalent in their milieu, there'd be relatively less chance of a new infection.

(I'm aware that that isn't really true - that even an HIV-positive person should avoid becoming reinfected - possibly with a different strain.)

Unconscionable for several reasons. First, homosexual men will see this as affirmation of their disease-ridden behavior. Don’t tell me that a few of them won’t “fudge” the time frame a little, or disregard that one anonymous Jon who he encountered in the highway rest stop the weekend before.

Homosexual men are virtual Petri dishes for various disease, known and yet to be discovered. It is completely undebatable that their behavior is a prime vector for disease disemination of various varieties. How do we know that they aren’t infected with a new type of disease yet undetectable?
