Gwendolyn Gillen, a Wisconsin artist whose bronze sculpture of Mary Tyler Moore tossing her hat became a downtown Minneapolis landmark, has died. She was 76.

Spooky coincidence. RIP
Strange. Grant Tinker - who was Mary Tyler Moore’s second husband - died in late November. She died a week ago or so ago. And now the artist. Betty White better be careful!
Most TV shows today don’t even have memorable openings or theme music/songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1GC6yXZ4e4
Interesting insight on “modern” television.
Nice catch.
I thought it was “That Girl”, Marlo Thomas, that tossed her hat.
Never mind - I just watched it. Marlo just musses her hair at the end - it WAS Mary Tyler Moore that tossed her hat.
And Rhoda fails to toss her hat in Times Square(?) in closing credits. Hadn’t heard the La , La, La, La, La of her second season in years. Only recall first season monologue.
And Phyllis theme song is great. Great montage / as photos collect on screen. And Cloris visit San Fran sites. To big payoff. Hadn’t seen in 40 years.
Recalls (to me) Wild Wild West or Thomas Crown Affair images.
Valerie & Cloris are each with us.
Asner was a commie, I never watched the show...
RIP.
Yup, but he’s still great as Lou Grant.
