WJM-TV seemed like fun place to work, as both a fictional office and as a television production set. It was clear that the cast of The Mary Tyler Moore loved the job as much as they loved each other. As we continue to mourn the loss of its titanic, titular star, we have been coping the best way we know how — by laughing along with classic footage of Moore and her sitcom. If there's one thing the series taught us, it's that levity is needed along with drama.
Thankfully, someone has given us a behind-the-scenes peek at the production of Mary Tyler Moore with a collection of bloopers on YouTube. Warning: Watching this at work can lead to uncontrollable laughter at your desk.
MeTV will honor the legacy of Mary Tyler Moore by airing six classic episodes of The Mary Tyler Moore Show on Sunday, January 29, beginning at 2PM | 1C.

Moore displays her comedic chops in this “Murphy’s Law” episode where Mary is nominated for a prestigious award and everything that could possibly go wrong - does!
3PM | 2C - “The Dinner Party”
Mary Richards’ failed dinner parties were a running joke throughout the series and this episode ranks as one of the most memorable displays of the unrivaled chemistry among the ensemble cast.
3:30PM | 2:30C - “Chuckles Bites the Dust”
Often ranked as one of the greatest television episodes of all time, the sudden death of station co-worker, Chuckles the Clown brings about more laughter than tears. Writer David Lloyd earned an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.”
4PM | 3C - “Lou Dates Mary”
In the penultimate episode of the series, viewers finally get a resolution to Lou’s and Mary’s “will they or won’t they” dynamic. They ultimately do not, staying true to the series’ feminist roots by keeping Mary single, independent and not too concerned about it.
4:30PM | 3:30C - “The Last Show”
When WJM-TV is sold, the team is forced to go their separate ways in a bittersweet series finale that is hailed by television critics. Mary ends the series in one of TV’s most famous final scenes.””
Bloopers or not, Ed Asner’s still a POS.
He was fantastic as Lou Grant though. I can separate performers from their performances.
I am watching the series, a few episodes a night. Asner was really good as Lou Grant. I hate the guy, but he really did a good job.
I didn’t find it charming or hilarious when it aired, so I will surely skip the bloopers.

Ed Asner is a good actor.
The character of "Lou Grant" as portrayed in the series of the same name was an irritatingly self-righteous know-it-all.
I assume that Asner used his "star power" to influence the scripts and direction to allow him to ham it up and promote his liberal causes.

Not a blooper, but the scene in Sue Ann Niven’s bedroom was a real hoot.
Put on a Happy Face is my favorite episode. Perfect Mary has a very bad day.
It was propaganda but had a beautiful theme song.

At first glance, I read “The Donner Party”
Unfortunately that is not true. If you watch and support the show you are supporting the actor and by default his beliefs. As long as you do not hurt the person where it counts the most, in the wallet, they will not be motivated to change.
