In this era of fake news, I’m not sure I believe that happened. I think it was performance art, or the sort of set-up someone like O’Keefe would pull.

Performance art to me are those “husky” guys taking off their shirts in Abercrombie & Fitch. That’s funny. And they left when asked.
Or, the time travelers on the subway. That was clever.
OTOH, Rosie O’Donnell/Yoko Ono wannabes putting on a show, while not funny, is okay as long as they annoy people in hippie hangouts, and even better when they tip so generously the people working there for putting up with the BS.
