Russian fighter jets have flown their first combat mission in Syria alongside US-led coalition forces. The mission comes just three days after Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States and could arguably be seen as signs of a new relationship with Vladimir Putin's administration.

A little dust-up called World War 2 comes to mind...
Interesting that it takes either Nazis or some of the Nazis best buddies (muzzies wackadoodles) to get the US and Russia on the same side of the shooting range.
It's a start.
The symbolism of a Russia/USA co-ordinated mission would be earth shaking. The video of Bears and B-52 bombing would be the stuff of posters—maybe a close up of the Bears Gunner station with Red AF crew holding a sign “Go Trump” in English and Russian. If Russia and America work together—who can stand against us? Add to the mix England and France and there is a new World Order!
Russia is a third world country. THey have nothing to offer us really, but I think their people, mostly Christian, have a common enemy in radical islam
Barack Hussein Obama was to ISIS what L. Ron Hubbard was to Scientology.

Did we fly combined air strikes during WWII? That is really the question. I thought the russians fought their battles and we fought ours and met in the middle.
Uh.....
I dont think we flew together in that war. They may have had their own strategic bombing raids, but I thought that job was left to us and the brits.

There is mostly truth in what you say, but I bet ISIS wishes things were working out differently.

Best Bol of the day.
Operation Frantic was “joint” in the sense we used Soviet bases with their support but it had only limited success and did not last long. So yeah, not much joint history there.
I always saw WWII as 3 separate wars. We never really fought “side by side” US vs Japan. US/France/UK versus the Germany/Italy and USSR and their war on the Eastern Front.
It seemed like we intentionally kept our battle zones apart. Remember one of the Doolittle bombers landed in the USSR, and he wasn’t returned until after the war.
I didn’t know about Operation Frantic.
It'd be interesting, if the klunky Russia crap can keep up:
Pentagon says no way. But its OK with me if we are.
Pentagon denies ... fake news?
Russia isn’t a 3rd World country—its a 2rd world country. Any nation that can mass produce warships and warplanes isn’t 3rd world. A Nation that can just build its own cars is 3rd world—but those that can not are 4th world. And Failed states like Zimbabwe and Somalia (and maybe Haiti) are 5th world states. China is 2rd world, but Japan is 1st World. England is 1st world but slipping to 2nd world status. Germany is 1st world now—but for how long?
We used their bases in 1944 and I believe there were coordinated strikes on Ploesti that same year.
Could be wrong though; of course the whole question may be moot, since the Pentagon has said there were no joint airstrikes this time around.
Russia is the third world economy nation.
I think in WWII the Russians focused on the ground war, and we developed bombing.
Nothing wrong with having SPETSNAZ on our side.
