FULL TITLE: Ralph Lauren shares soar after Melania Trump chooses ensemble by the American designer for her husband's inauguration

Supporting her husband as he was sworn in as president, Melania Trump looked a vision in a baby blue custom Ralph Lauren dress and coat.

And as she stood by Donald Trump's side as he took the oath of office in the Jackie Kennedy-inspired ensemble, the designer saw their company stock soar.

When Ralph Lauren shares closed on Thursday before the inauguration, they were at $88.20 a share in what has been a quiet month for the American firm.

I had to remove myself from a lot of heated threads during the primaries, especially about Cruz and Rubio.

I felt outnumbered, so i just found other things to do.

In a way i’m glad FR went down, it might have been a a no holds melee.

Because i know you, have made replies many times in the past to you.

I expect it will continue, so much, so much is about to happen, its going to be better than the fastest rollercoaster.

Ummmmmmmmmmm...give me a hint; please.

At crossed swords, or comrades in arms? It's late, I'm tired, and am a bit foggy re our back & forths.

I know the old saw about "history repeating itself; the first time is tragedy, the second is farce", but I refuse to make predictions, just yet.

Salamander...I’m sure that if I had ever heard you verbally say that, I would have laughed uproariously at the sarcasm I would have heard there...I’m chuckling now! The thing is...Melania probably would have made burlap look good had she worn it!

I won’t bother to read something with such an idiotic headline. Anyone who thinks Moochelle is more of a “fashion icon” than Melania will be is simply deranged.

Let’s remember that Ana Winter has rumored to have been behind the plot for top designers not to design for Romney’s wife.

But Wintour watched Michelle, right from the beginning wear the pink sequined athletic shoes w J Crew sweaters and other abominations. She stepped in and asked designers to design. ALMOST ALL of the dresses made for Michelle were gifts from the designers or donors.

Melania and Trump pay for her clothing and, as a result she buys from one of her favorites designers, Ralph Lauren. Michelle was praised for wearing clothes from multi-cultural, mostly completely unknown designers ... some looked good, some did not.

I wonder who paid for Michelle’s Tom Ford number. I’ll bet it was Wintour.

I have to admit, that one does stand out—even the model couldn’t save it.

Ben, your pictorial makes me wonder why she has been praised for her fashion sense. She has the style of a fifth grade schoolgirl from the 1970’s. She improved as she became educated by real designers and sometimes took their advice.

Anyone following RL’s Polo company earnings have noted the brand has NOT been doing well for sometime. Pres. “T” is right on time again.

Melania Trump Is Fashionable, But She’s Unlikely To Become A Fashion Icon Like Michelle Obama”

That’s as funny as it gets. I guess that moronic writer has stock in the Moochele Obama boob belt line of fashion. Sorry clown, Mrs Trump doesn’t need no boob belts to draw attention away from all the her unflattering physically attributes. Because unlike Moochele, Malania has none. And that is probably were the real beef is with Rachelle Bergstein, the moronic writer of this tripe.

I’m quite sure moose’s off-red coat came from Goodwill.

I think the goal was to have an ensemble that didn’t look like a separate dress with overcoat-as the dress and matching overcoat Michelle Obama wore (which was very nice, I thought). The bolero jacket with the high cowl neck provided the extra layer of warmth when coupled with the suede gloves. So it served as a coat without looking like a coat. I wondered if she might be wearing a bullet proof vest under it.

At the luncheon, when she removed the jacket, you could see that the dress was a simple sheath with a jewel neckline.

Wow, I didn’t see that at all. I’m detecting a bit of cattiness coming from your direction regarding the first family women’s inaugural day clothing choices.
