Being a huge Frank Sinatra fan, I used to post at the Sinatra Family forum which is owned by Nancy. I did not stay there long. It is populated by the worst sort of DU types. They were all Obama worshipers. From Nancy on down, it was strongly believed that criticism of Obama = racism. You'd even have people posting that it bothered them that Frank became a conservative. They are probably suicidal over there now.
She may have been misquoted, but I do not doubt that the fake quote describes how she truly feels (unless she happens to be friends with Trump).
Maybe as a one-time singer herself she understands that a song written by someone with as high a profile as Paul Anka does not ‘belong’ to some other singer.
