A former top Hillary Clinton aide says President-elect Donald Trump is worried about his legitimacy.
“I think Donald Trump is trying to cling to whatever legitimacy is still in effect here,” Brian Fallon, Clinton's former press secretary, said Friday on CNN’s “New Day."
Fallon called Trump's critical tweets about Clinton earlier Friday "just the latest indication that Donald Trump is someone who’s very insecure in his victory. And I understand why.”
“Every day there are new developments, new shoes dropping, so to speak, that call into question the legitimacy of his win," he said. Fallon pointed particularly to intelligence reports about Russian interference in the presidential election, as well as questions about how public announcements by FBI Director James Comey's affected the result.
Trump earlier Friday tweeted that the FBI had been more than fair to Clinton.

This guy is going to find out in one week’s time just how insecure the new President Trump actually feels. At that point, the worm turns, and it is going to be this jerk who is going to be feeling major insecurity. Trump’s legitimacy will be proven over and over again for the next four years, much to this man’s dismay. I deem him to be totally miserable, and may he wallow in it.
We are just beginning to see the lunacy of the
left, once Trump is sworn in I fully expect
to see mass melt downs.

Fallon graduated cum laude from Harvard,[2] where he covered sports for The Harvard Crimson.[3] During the 2004 presidential election, Fallon worked on the Kerry-Edwards presidential campaign as a press aide.[4] During the 2006 Senate election in New Jersey, Fallon served as campaign press secretary to Senator Robert Menendez. Fallon then became chief spokesman for Senator Charles Schumer of New York, and in 2011 additionally became spokesman for the new Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Center.[4] In 2013, Fallon left Schumer’s office and moved to the Justice Department, with Attorney General Eric Holder hiring him as the department’s director of public affairs.[4][5]
Fallon joined Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in March 2015, as national press secretary.[4][6]

He’s accomplished more in 2 months, and it’s not even official yet, than 0 has accomplished in his lifetime. Of anything he’s accomplished.

The man just reeks of uncertainty and insecurity.
