A friend of mine owned a coin, card, and comic book shop before he passed. I did some PM business with him over the years and got to know him pretty well.
One day a man walked in and just opened fire. When the gunfight was over my friend was very badly wounded and the perp was dead. The entire incident was caught on video. It was over in less than 8 seconds.
From that day forward he always had 3 pistols, all of them S&W Model 686s. All were within easy reach behind the counter.
I miss him.
