I think they should take very so-called human factors programmers and leadership at MS and chain and shackle them to a pair of oxen that trudges relentlessly though their township and rubs the meat from their bones.
These people are WORTHLESS. They have yet to figure out that not every human has the same capacity for stupid shit as they.
The numbskull who created ribbon menuing and thought that was a brilliant idea should be summarily executed — and don’t even wait for sun up.
I have some programs that will not adjust window size and the ribbon menu takes up about 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen space.
I’m running Windows 7. It started running sluggishly (50% cpu when nothing going on). I considered converting to Windows 10, read it’s benefits, and decided I wouldn’t gain anything I need.
I solved my degradation problem as I’ve done before, by restoring my entire system from an Acronis backup.
I’m not confident that an upgrade to Windows would have eliminated the degradation because I imagine it’s because of registry entries, or polluted programs starting.
I have looked for ways of eliminating this stuff. Once I had a company take control of my computer for a couple of hours and they cleaned it up. Cost about $100. I’m not doing that again — too expensive.
Since there are services that can clean up my computer, why can’t I find information on what they do? There are secrets that are intentionally being withheld from us.

Couldn’t have said it better. I have been steaming over having Windows 10 installed against my will mid summer - done in front of my eyes and I couldn’t stop it short of manually turning off the computer. Updates on 11/8 messed it up royally. I have been fighting it since then and will take my desktop to my computer guy next week. He asked over the phone if I wanted him to uninstall 10 and install 7. My son in law said he would do it for me but I told him I didn’t want to do that. What do freepers think? A good idea or not? I can ignore the things I don’t want/need/use on 10 but I can’t ignore websites NOT RESPONDING over and over hundreds of times a day!
Anyone want to chime in on the idea of wiping 10 out and reinstalling 7? I can think of something else I would rather WIPE OUT!!!
Is this spring time change going to affect ALL Windows 10?
