US Government Attacks Drudge Report? Conservative Website Down Because Of Distributed Denial Of Service Attack, Matt Drudge Tweets By Cristina Silva @cristymsilva On 12/29/16 AT 8:59 PM

A tweet from conservative media icon Matt Drudge's verified Twitter account Thursday night appeared to accuse the government of interfering with his website, DrudgeReport.com, just hours after the Barack Obama administration announced new sanctions against Russia over election hacking.

"Is the US government attacking DRUDGE REPORT? Biggest DDoS since site's inception. VERY suspicious routing [and timing]," the tweet to Drudge's 457,000 followers read. There were no other tweets from the account at the time.

A large-scale distributed denial of service attack, or DDoS, can cause major Internet disruptions. In the past, such attacks have shut down major websites such as Twitter, Spotify, Netflix, Amazon, Tumblr, and Reddit. The attack sends a server many illegitimate requests to make it hard for real requests to get through, effectively shutting down the site.

Drudge Report was down briefly around 7 p.m. EST, but working hours later. The top headline read: "MOSCOW MOCKS OBAMA 'LAME DUCK'" Meanwhile, the conservative Washington Times wrote: "Matt Drudge suggests U.S. government cyberattack on Drudge Report website. DDoS attack comes same day Obama announced countermeasures against Russia for hacking of Democrats."

Can we expect more Distributed Denial among Conservative websites in the near future ?
I believe we can,.. at least until January 22nd , and perhaps dates thereafter.
At least we know that the longer it goes on,..the more likely the crumb trail will lead to the 'perps'.

It can be deduced. Obviously the Drudge Report has been a number one target for the left. Hence, the site must have experienced numerous denial of service attacks. Drudge says this was the most intense ever. Only one person on the planet has that kind of infrastructure capability and motive. Uncle Sammy. Putin certainly would not attack a website that has been an adversary of Obama.

For the next three weeks we are living through the worst case scenario for a government transition. Obama is capable of literally anything right now.

IMHO,El Zero's only job has always been to fund raise and read the prompter. My guess is his handlers designed this for him since it's about all he is able to do with a limited, low IQ.

Also, it's something he will keep doing after he "finally" leaves.For the commie rats zeros mission becomes a smooth transition from fund raising with the power of the pen to just fund- raiser-in-chief.

He has some kind of phony foundation and other NWO causes he will be sucking dough from liberasl for and of course taking a big chunk for himself and his other choom buddies. The more he attacks conservatives of any stripe be it Drudge,us,Bibi,Israel,FNC,you name it, the more funding he will receive from commie libs who want to destroy the country as he does.

I would look for more attacks on anything conservative before he leaves.You can almost follow the funding stream as he attacks all things conservative.

Also siphoning off hundreds of thousands of acres for the govt. plays right into the hands of environmental wackos who are also loaded with dough just ready to dole it out to a whack-job like el zero. Its all calculated little happens by chance.
