Savage is still on vacation through the end of this week - his second week of vacation. A long vacation he says his family forced him to take.
Personally, he was getting quite boring these last few weeks and I wonder if he's about to "pull the plug" completely.
On a more general scope - how do all these talking heads, TV too, think they rate multiple weeks of vacation during the holidays?

WLS can’t seem to decide whether they’re a talk station or sports. Savage was frequently preempted by the Bulls or Sox.

FWIW, when Savage took over the 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. slot when WJR's contract with Hannity expired, he constantly bragged throughout his tenure here about replacing Hannity.
What he failed to mention was the fact that Hannity had a new contract with the Patriot and he was not only hosted on 1400 AM but also 92.7 FM in an expanded 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM time slot on both frequencies..........
So WJR is dropping Savage and going with a local personality named Guy Gordon in the 3 - 5...........That's a major slap down on the Savage........
It will be interesting to hear how he explains it next year..........Only I won't hear him here in Detroit.

I stopped listening to him awhile ago but hit the wrong button on the radio last night. The first thing I heard him say was that Japanese whalers were worse than ISIS. Really?
