Shervin Pishevar, eh? Wonder if he helped broker that little nuclear deal for his mother country?

Always best to negotiate deals when you have the advantage.

I’m born and raised SoCal.

California, deserves and needs an open carry law at this point. It’s getting out of hand and good people are not safe anymore around the bad people. Law enforcement only comes to crimes after the fact. People have a right to protect and defend themselves.

Sadly, California liberals (neo-communists), predictably want to disarm the entire population, which of course is the worst thing we can do in the face of armed criminals.

These anarchist, hippie radicals behind this secession movement are the worst kind and the most stupid and dangerous.

“one of the goals of the 14th Amendment- to clarify that those born in the CSA during the Civil War had all the “privileges and immunities” of US citizens, unless they were involved in the insurrection.”

Just for the tally book, how many people age four and under were “involved in the insurrection?”

I can do without their two Senators and Congressmen, but will not happen.

Shervin Pishevar

So this Pishevar dude was born in IRAN in 1974. He is a member of the United Nations Foundation's Global Entrepreneurs Council, and a big Obama/Democrat supporter. He couldn't possibly have ulterior motives for stirring up a California secession movement, now could he.

So many on the Left are hopelessly gullible and clueless.

I suppose that those who propose getting rid of the electoral college and going to a popular vote are actually proposing that we give the rest of the country to California.

This country would swing drastically to the right without California. It would be beautiful. Without California’s 55 electoral votes, the Dems would have trouble winning another presidential election, and we wouldn’t have to worry about saving the nation any longer. Plus, watching CA become like Venezuela would be a warning to the rest of the US.

California is a beautiful state, and I can understand why some conservatives really don’t want to leave, but I think the best thing for all sides would be CA’s independence coupled with a voluntary population exchange. We can help and encourage conservatives and patriots to move to neighboring states, while we can have programs in place to aid anyone who wants to move from bastions of leftism in the US to the new country of California. They get the country they want; we keep the country we want. More people get the representation they prefer. Win-win.

Just wait a few months to see how Trump's cutting federal monies to sanctuary cities and counties works out.

My guess is that the dims will be screaming for the funds.

Can I say "Trumped"

The California secessionists wouldn’t be successful in trying to take the entire state. Military bases would remain under U.S. control, so Camp Pendleton, Edwards Air Force Base and other military bases would be excluded. After also excluding any sane areas of the state that want to remain in the U.S., the new California would probably be a weirdly-carved area largely along the coast from L.A. (or maybe northern Orange County) up to and slightly above the bay area, running east to Sacramento and then kinda sorta down the I-5 corridor.

New California doesn’t get access to the water from the Sierra Nevadas or the Colorado River.

They should divide CA in half and let the southern section secede. Actually, insist that the southern section secede.

I would think there are few voters up and down the I-5 from Stockton to Valencia. And the valley is pretty conservative. If the dems are in charge the cattle at Harris Ranch may register to vote for succession. They are the largest demographic in the corridor.

Or just run all the illegals out and then see who wins the elections. Why give prime oceanfront property to the enemy?
