49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was asked Tuesday if he felt his reception varied by the city he was playing in.
That was "very evident," Kaepernick responded. Atlanta was the warmest to him. Buffalo was the worst.
"I think thats something, to me, that was very evident depending on where we were playing," Kaepernick said. "Atlanta was somewhere where I had a lot of support, a lot of people saying they agree with what Im doing, support it and are happy that I did it. And to keep going, stay strong.
"And theres other places where the fans dont agree as much Buffalo in particular was one where that was very evident. So it shows the different cultures and different beliefs throughout this country and it also makes it very evident that theres a difference in perspective between White America and Black America."
Kaepernick was asked what made Buffalo different.
"I think volume, what I heard, things that I saw after the fact as far as in the parking lot, T-shirts, all of those things," he said. "It was very evident that this was something they dont agree with, which, to me, I dont understand."
A group of Bills fans knelt during national anthem outside the stadium to show their support for the quarterback who was doing the same on the sideline, but they were a small minority of fans. T-shirts were for sale outside the stadium that featured Kaepernick's torso in the crosshairs of a rifle. Some fans put his jersey on a tackling dummy and repeatedly drove it to the ground.
After the game, a 45-16 Bills win, linebacker Eli Harold said the treatment Kaepernick received inside the stadium was "just the norm."
"Nothing any different than the San Diego game when this first started," he said. "Nothing different."
But Kaepernick did add in his press conference that at least his death threats were "rare occurrences now."
I bet there are a bunch of new Raiders fans in the Bay Area this year.
Yes and a visit to NK is certainly in his future.
What’s a Kaepernick? Is that a type of clothing, like Birkenstocks?
My football season sucked this year. My only pleasure has been watching Kaepernick and the 49ers lose, week after week.

you SUCK Kaeperdick you SUCK!!!!
Who really cares what this Angela Davis wannabe thinks?
He gets his knees whacked and he’ll be just another idiot loser.
I wish this jerk off would just shut the f*** up.
OH so now he is whining? Should take up a collection and give it to the man who breaks his knees.
Yup, and the team isnt playing because of that asshole.
The coaches and this asshole should be fired.
Sounds like Buffalo is my kind of town.
Three cheers for Buffalo!
the boos were loud in Atlanta, Kaepernick is also a liar.
I have relegated this piece of trash to the same category containing Kanye West, Bill Maher, Michael (Fatass) Moore, Alec (Fatass) Baldwin, Barbara Streisand, George Lopez, and I’m certain many others to be added as their true selves break through to the media’s cameras. These people are persona non grata to me and I wish there was a way to universally filter their names from EVER appearing on ANY of my discussion or social media channels.
The guy talks about himself as much as Obama.
How stupid are the 49ers? Cutting this guy was the obvious choice weeks ago.

Yes. Eddie DeBartolo would have personally walked Colon off the field the first time he pulled this crap.
“a lot of people saying they agree with what Im doing”
It’s certainly not playing winning football Mr. Dimwit!
The problem is the 49ers and the NFL. He’s playing poorly, no other QB’s out there, and now he’s just a distraction. Even if the team gets better around him there’s no guarantee he’ll get better. Time to cut him but the 49ers and the NFL are too cowardly to deal with him so they’ll let him go his own way in the off season(Trump wouldn’t). Some one may pick him up to show how ‘open minded’ they are. Under the right circumstances he can thrive(I think) but isn’t that true with most QB’s?
I’m encouraged to hear that. I didn’t watch a game this year.
“Atlanta was somewhere where I had a lot of support, a lot of people saying they agree with what Im doing, support it and are happy that I did it. And to keep going, stay strong.”
They meant losing games you moron, something you’re best at.
Buffalo only won because his sorry ass didn’t play a game in Dallas. Tar and feathers for him.
