Wow, I wonder how the child feels KNOWING that mommy wishes he/she was dead or non-existent.

Very astute of you to point this out. Kids sense things regarding how parents and others take care of them. Has got to be very painful feeling that your mom hates you as a child. Maybe hate is too strong a word. Maybe scorns you for being a liability and chore to care for. That scorn will turn the child to hate the mom, which is just as bad.

As for us, we wanted kids, are very happy we had them, we love them and the same goes for our grandchildren. Nothing better than having our grandchildren jump into our arms and their parents arms and hug tightly, they feel the love we have for them and respond likewise. Never considered caring for them as just a chore, but a desired obligation. Some people who are against raising kids, I can't understand.

I couldn't help wondering if these women themselves had those kind of mothers.

JFK’s brother-in-law, the Brit-American Peter Lawford—the “Brother-in-Lawford” was one who grew up with a mother who called him a “mistake”. Lawford loved his father and barely tolerated his mother. The former MGM star destroyed his health with drugs and alcohol but made it to age 61 before dyeing from organ failure.

We have five and God has blessed us every single day of our lives.

I just moved to Sierra Leone for a three year tour and all five decided to go with us. Two of them now have jobs in the embassy here in Freetown and all five of them are living with us in a big house provided by the embassy.

Every evening we have dinner together and every Sunday they are helping me in the church I am ministering in.

God has blessed me beyond anything I could have ever imagined when I was 18 and starting out.

Maybe it isn't strong enough.
