Zsa Zsa Gabor, a Hollywood icon who personified the joy of glorious, unapologetic celebrity, reportedly died Sunday from a heart attack.
She was 99.
The Hungarian actress and socialite was pronounced dead after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, TMZ reports.
She survived a series of health problems over the last decade, including an auto accident, a hip replacement and a stroke, and had been on life support the past five years.

It would be interesting to check her opinion on that now.
They were. We had the same plastic surgeon (he took on celebs so he could do child craniofacial repair probono)
That is how I want to remember Zsa Zsa not the images of her on the web with life support. My mother loved her because of her outspokenness. I always viewed her sister Eva (Green Acres) as more down to earth unlike Zsa Zsa. Wow Zsa Zsa passed away almost 1 year aniv. from her own daughter’s death Francesca Hilton back in January of 2015.
RIP Zsa Zsa
More respectable and likable in some ways maybe but her only daughter with Conrad Hilton (his only daughter also) died just last year flat broke and living between her car and a low-end apartment building when she could afford the weekly rent as I recall. Family dramas today inevitably break out into public viewing but I don’t even see the Kardashians throwing one of their own quite so far under the bus.
That’s why I like posting young photos. That’s how she should be remembered: young, beautiful, funny, full of life.
You gotta love it.
Push ‘em up, push ‘em up,
Push ‘em way up.
That’s awesome! (Diamonds quote)
The Gabor sisters and their mother were refugees from the Nazis. They didn’t have connections, so they made it on their looks and chutzpah.
Big time! Hungarian-American self-made stars.
I read a memoir of another Hungarian Jewish family who knew the Gabors when they were all marking time in Lisbon trying to get to the U.S. The more academic sort of refugees, displaced scientists and so on, looked down on them.
You can just imagine Mama Gabor going around the embassies saying, in that famous accent, “My daughters, Your Excellency ... zey haz ... ze great tractz ov land!”
Yes, she was quite beautiful, and sweet, if you can believe the biographers.

Yup. That’s how she would have wanted to be remembered.
