Zsa Zsa Gabor, a Hollywood icon who personified the joy of glorious, unapologetic celebrity, reportedly died Sunday from a heart attack.
She was 99.
The Hungarian actress and socialite was pronounced dead after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, TMZ reports.
She survived a series of health problems over the last decade, including an auto accident, a hip replacement and a stroke, and had been on life support the past five years.

“She was the one in Green Acres, right? That was a great show.”

Close, but it was her sister, Eva Gabor.

I remember a movie, I think it was one of the Naked Gun movies, where they parodied the incident where she slapped a cop. The roving siren that was the opening of those films pulled her car over. She got out, slapped it, and got back into her car saying this happens every ****ing time I go shopping.Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear

Heh.
—When asked, “How many husbands have you had?”, she was quoted as responding, “You mean other than my own?”—

Gah! That last one cut off just before the slap.
Here is the whole thing.

I guess she wanted to live like that. I read an article a couple years ago that said she had written that she wanted to die when it was her time, not a moment sooner, and they should do everything to keep her alive. She had several medical issues that she recovered from so I guess she thought she would survive anything.

She was the Kardashian of her day. I dont mean that as an insult. What I mean is that she was famous for being famous and for her Hollywood persona.
Unlike the Kardashians, the Gabor sisters had a sense of humor and made jokes about their marriages, wealth and Hollywood persona. Some of those jokes are being posted on this thread. That made them come across as likable people in the media.
I can't recall the Kardashians making jokes about themselves. The Kardashians don't come across as likable people to me. I don't watch them so maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway, RIP Zsa, Zsa.
