She was the Kardashian of her day. I dont mean that as an insult. What I mean is that she was famous for being famous and for her Hollywood persona.
Unlike the Kardashians, the Gabor sisters had a sense of humor and made jokes about their marriages, wealth and Hollywood persona. Some of those jokes are being posted on this thread. That made them come across as likable people in the media.
I can't recall the Kardashians making jokes about themselves. The Kardashians don't come across as likable people to me. I don't watch them so maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway, RIP Zsa, Zsa.

I can't speak to that either. I was just trying to point out how the far the "celebrity" concept has sunk since Zsa Zsa's day.

More respectable and likable in some ways maybe but her only daughter with Conrad Hilton (his only daughter also) died just last year flat broke and living between her car and a low-end apartment building when she could afford the weekly rent as I recall. Family dramas today inevitably break out into public viewing but I don’t even see the Kardashians throwing one of their own quite so far under the bus.
