This wasn’t a REP victory. The REP machine opposed Trump dang near to the same degree as the Dem machine. Trump defeated the Dems, the Reps AND the media.

Thank you. Exactly. Trump isn't up against the DNC, he is up against the GOP and all the powers that be. Which means, *we* are up against all the powers that be also.

They aren't going to stop, because they are playing for all the marbles. They are prepared to do what is necessary. They are only looking for deniability. But if it comes down to it, they don't even need that, because they control the propaganda machine. We are in for a long fight.

Yes and no. I think one of the reasons Trump picked Priebus for CoS is that he came around and put the GOP GOTV data to good use for Trump. People can argue how much of a difference a GOTV effort can make, especially when the democrats have additional constituencies to draw from (non-citizens, the dead, etc.). When the margins are so small in the rust belt states, GOTV becomes a critical element.

There are still plenty of GOP types, the Graham-McCain team, that suck.

The DNC is clearly the main enemy. They are united against Trump without exception and are his true opposition thanks to their leftist ideology which leads them to hate this country. That is true of 100% of their leaders and their base. The GOP has its establishment jerks but many aren’t in that camp and the GOP base clearly isn’t. I’m not even sure that the characterization of the establishment types as a monolithic evil empire is accurate. Look at Reince Priebus. He was chair of the party yet has embraced Trump the ultimate outsider. Note also that the establishment hasn’t tried to destroy him. This is a real challenge to the notion that the GOP upper echelons are totally committed to the whole globalist uniparty thing. The GOP’s main problem is fecklessness, which is different than the full on ideological opposition of the DNC.
