Yes.

And the Tribune is fake news and corrupt.

I like Roe and Steve both (I listen from Nevada, by the way), but Steve’s group (Brendan Greeley, Dag Juhlin, Jennifer Keiper and Christina Filliagi) have really got it going. I often bust a gut laughing at work. Which perplexes my co-workers no end.

That being said, Roe’s a great one, too.

A suitable site for nuclear testing.

And people actually voted for a presidential candidate from this cesspool.

I much prefer Roe Conn. He's funny all the time. His paranoia and being a hypochondriac is really something. His bits are really creative too.

I'm still shaking my head that WLS let Roe Conn go (salary dispute) in favor of bringing in Steve Dahl. He's been doing the same schtick for years.

Loved the Insane Coho Lips "back in the days" and took my sisters Disco albums to Comiskey Park to get blowed up real good. Once he was gone from the Loop and then his parting ways with Garry Meier he just became irrelevant to me.

All they need to do is make the City’s language Mexican (sort of Spanish) and they will be the new Mexico!!!!!

I began listening to Dahl when I was a teenager, he was on WDAI in Chicago back in 1978. Saw his band, Teenage Radiation, a few times. Was there at Comiskey Park for Disco Demolition Night.
I stopped listening to his show in the mid eighties. Tuned in from time to time after that, and just did not find him as funny as he used to be. Probably just a combination of me getting older, and “The Stever” getting sober.

I would have loved to see Dahl team up with Eddie Schwartz from WIND, even though Dahl made him the butt of many jokes, that would have been an interesting show. Never liked Dahl/Gary Meier duo.

Perhaps a forensic audit of all Chicago aldermen, the mayor, the governor and all Illinois legislators would be in order. Do it across the board, clear those who are clean, and prosecute the rest. Use Illinois as an example, with a clear warning that if the exercise is successful there, it will be applied elsewhere, including the U.S. House and Senate. This could be an early initiative for the new DOJ.

I’m a big Roe fan, too. Just a seriously naturally funny guy. But after Rush, my workday (Nevada — two hours earlier) just needs some non-political, weird-crap-that-happened-today. Plus, Steve has really hit gold interacting as the “Sage older (sort of) wise guy” with younger partners Brendan and Dag. Plus, Jennifer Keiper and Christina Filliagi always work, whoever they work with. After Rush, my workdays need no politics, just weird stories of Florida methheads and Brendan’s horrifyingly bad luck with women. It gets me to quitting time.

But, again, Roe is an awesome listen, too.

But who cares, anyway? I’m from Nevada! :)

If you look at an electoral map of Illinois, you will see that it is almost entirely red, except for the ugly blue bruise that is Chicago. It’s got a lot going for it, but clean politics is NOT one of them.

So what's a cool nevada chick doing listening to Chicago radio? You from the area or something?

Actually a dude ... Jenny’s a carayzee liberal girlfriend I immortalized long ago in my screen name. Stumbled across Roe and Bill Leff long ago, stuck with Roe and Roeper, enjoyed Roe with Steve on those occasions they paired up, gave Steve’s show a try, and enjoy it immensely. Still check in with Roe, but Roe’s a little more current-affairs-politics than I can deal with after Rush. Steve and his crew make my afternoons go fine with the latest horrifying “human interest story.” Plus, Jennifer Keiper and Christina Filliagi are about the best you can get for your female foils. Works for me, is all.

But, again, Roe’s fantastic.

I know what you mean. Give him a try afternoons on WLS though. As I said on another post, he’s kind of become the exasperated “dad” to the other still-partying guys, and gets into some good trouble himself. It’s a good show, my go-to (from Nevada!) after Rush. I know it’s going to be no politics, just bizarre human interest stories very hilariously played. Stever is still way sharp, and has sharp people around him. It’s a keeper.

Does anyone know who is in the Progressive Caucus? In the old days, we called them the “Communist Party people”.

I agree that Dan Proft would be a good candidate for mayor. I also hope that Carlos Alvarez will run. He’s a conservative who ran for the state house, in Chicago, in 2014.
