Alligator Pears Are Chinas Newest Superfruit
Cut em in half, remove the pit and stuff them with a seafood salad (shrimp, tuna), squeeze lemon over it.
DELICIOUS!
Avocados are disgusting. You can have my share. I’d rather eat used chain oil, at least it has a use.
Guacamole is the single most horrifying “food”stuuf ever devised.
No, you slice around the avocado end to end, twist and separate the halves, remove the pit and scoop out the inside.........
Thanks for the avacado growing advice. Mr D has been saving seeds but you say that won’t work.
For years and years I would buy 3 or 4 avocados and put them on the counter to ripen...50% would end up brown and mushy. I was told to never put them in the refrigerator. When you buy 5 or 6 at a time that’s a problem. Last year I put 5 in fridge and one on the counter. It ripened, I ate it, perfect. Took next avocado out and in three days it was ready...perfect. Took next avocado out...perfect. They would stay perfect in the fridge for weeks. WHO KNEW! All those wasted avocados and years. I asked around in the family and they do the same bad thing I did for years.
One day in maybe sixty years.
Yes, I’ve tried it every way those with depraved tastebuds can think of, and find the texture and “flavour” utterly offensive.
As I posted elsewhere, I’m glad they found a use for them, as FUEL. It’s the only way I will ever again consume them: in my woodstove.
Yes, you can have all avocados ever aimed in my direction.
If you haven’t picked up on it, I am not exactly fond of them.
Great thanks.
You're welcome. It'll work if you want to grow and avocado tree, and if you're patient, the tree will eventually produce fruit.
I was watching a youtube video from one guy grew a tree from a seed and 13 years later it started fruiting.
IMO, it's better to get one from a grower that's grafted from a fruiting tree.
Kewl! More for me! LOL!
Lol! Yes I better get him a tree a big one. He is 81.
A grove of avacado trees is money in the bank.
Many love them but I find the oily texture, tied to a dull taste to be off-putting. I do like a good spicy avocado dip but can't stand the fruit by itself.
This is on my list of things to try:

I will have to try it with scrambled eggs and a salad. They all sound so good.
I am going to make this. Maybe with some tiny tomatoes for a little more color and some left over grilled chicken.
Nice that it has basil rather then cilantro in it. Cilantro tastes like soap to me so I leave it out of most dishes.
