I love the fact that the local church which has Franklin’s grave is in charge of the management of it. This is America. Civil society should be strong and should be the base of people’s relations. It unites people across the political spectrum - and helps define the political spectrum.
Americans accept this as natural. But I tell you, its not like that in other societies. In China, a “founding father’s” grave would be under the control of a central government bureaucracy. Local citizens would have no feeling of control or responsibility over it, because, like everything, it would be a political and bureaucratic matter for the capital to worry about.
and this is the danger of the Left - cultural marxists seek to destroy civil society and replace it with political rule.
