Tuesday evening on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin addressed the announcement that Exxon-Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson is President-elect Donald Trumps pick for secretary of state.
Levin said that the choice of Rex Tillerson ranks among the worst of Trumps Cabinet picks.
Rex Tillerson: Trumps most disastrous pick The Conservative Conscience Ep77 Listen:
Tillerson has close ties to members of the ruling class establishment. His nomination was praised by the likes of Condoleezza Rice, Robert Gates, and James Baker luminaries of the Bush administration and, in the case of Rice and Gates, lobbyists for Exxon-Mobil. Additionally, his close relationship with Vladimir Putin is a major cause for concern.
Fundamentally, Tillerson is the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time. As Levin read from Conservative Review Senior Editor Daniel Horowitzs piece today:
Trump should have appointed a secretary of State who regards the current State Department with as much disdain as Scott Pruitt regards the EPA. The problem we have at the State Department is not a management crisis. We have a moral and intellectual problem with the State Department that has persisted for decades. It stems from a deep-rooted culture of moral relativism and an America-last mindset. As such, we needed a man with a strong ideological rudder who understands the issues, is on the right side of them, and willing to bust up the entire State Department structure and the global foreign policy apparatus.

Scott Pruitt, global warming skeptic, is in charge of formulating EPA policy. That is the ultimate middle finger at the global warming proponents.
If you can't acknowledge that, than you're obvious Never Trumper with an ax to grind against Trump.
I got sick of Levin due to Cruz and haven’t listened to him since. He can scream all he wants as far as I’m concerned because I won’t hear him.
I still think Cruz was trying to play both sides...him and his sneaky immigration and TPP positions.
That has nothing to do with Tillerson's job as SOS>
Trump is not going to have him go out and promote homosexuality as SOS.
Then, prove it by praising him for putting a global warming skeptic in charge of the EPA and stop yammering about Tillerson's meaningless belief about it.
Trump left NeverTrump land the first week in September.
He'll be working for an America First populist. Problem solved.
I recall from watching a YouTube video of Trump's pilot that they wanted a 757 with RR engines specifically because they were the best engine for the plane. It's a Boeing jet, manufactured in the United States, with engines from the UK. I don't have a problem with that, and no one other than insane nitpickers has a problem with it, either.
Mark should run for President. Then he- can pick his own cabinet
You're lying or ignorant:
Levin: I Am Not Voting for Donald Trump, Count Me As Never Trump

I don’t usually get to listen to him, but for the week before election day, I had him in my ear at work, and heard him push Trump as the only way to defeat Hillary.
It’s what I swaid before:
The left goes for every slice they can get to get the loaf, which they know they will get eventually.
The talk-radio right will demand the bakery the first day, the recipe for the bread, all of the back profits, and the first born of the baker...
Or else they will stomp outside, douse themselves in gas, and light themselves on fire.
>> The SOS will have nothing to do with environmental policy. <<
Not NOTHING. I agree that Pruitt is more important than Tillerson, but much of what goes on involving global warming is international in nature, and it would be helpful to have a SecState who doesn’t unofficially hope that GW talks succeed.
OTOH, who knows if Tillerson really believes in GW. Exxon funds GW hysteria, man-is-evil nature documentaries, etc., because they are chiefly an oil refinery company and they profit more when we get our oil overseas. If Tillerson divests from Exxon, he no longer has an economic reason to push the GW myth.
Can't speak for the poster you were addressing, but as I've said numerous times, Pruitt was a great pick.
About AGW and picking ab SoS, a SoS's point of view on AGW isn't "meaningless".
Most likely as CEO of XOM, Tillerson was pressured into that point of view by the governments he was doing business with.
The neo-con train has already left the station. The trend is back towards nationalism, with implicit agreements (perhaps explicit) towards recognized regions of influence.
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Trump arranged a meeting with Putin & Jinping to divvy up the world. We get Cuba, China gets Taiwan and Russia gets Ukraine/Baltics. Together, each country can work towards eradicating their respective client states that lend themselves towards chaos. We’d replace the KSA rulers, China would occupy NK, and Russia would topple the Iranian clerics.
You misread Putin. He doesn’t want the Baltic and Ukraine. Nationalist Russians already consider that part of Russia.
He wants the arctic. Just as the Chicoms covet the South China Sea. And what has appeasing the Chicoms gotten us there? I’ll buy you a clue: The same will happen with Russia and the arctic if the US is not assertive.
But feel free continue your day dreams if that floats your boat. However, I can assure you KGB Vlad has no interest in your “deal.”
Are you asking me are we better off having the kenyan in office? If so, you are insane. The kenyan agrees with you, by the way, in the type people he appoints.
No, I’m saying we’re betting off with some balance in the Trump admin. Less Chamber of Commerce picks for State and less advice to the POTUS from lightweights like Jared Kushner.
That's what I thought. He was a never Trumper to the point of voting Hillary which is way out of touch with reality.
Nope. My mistake. Just forgot about that. I remember actually turning him off after that. Since the nomination, is what I should have...
Apologies for the mix up.
FReeRegards
The "neo-con train has already left the station", yet you want to carve up relatively free sovereign countries such as Taiwan, Ukraine and the Baltics.
You weren't being serious, were you?
