I don't believe it. I don't believe that 6 out of every 1,000 people I meet are transgender. Of course, who knows what "transgender" even means, since you can make it up as you go. I am 66, and in my life I can count on one hand the number of people I've met who were what I would call transgender: one told me "she" had an abnormal biological condition, the other was a cross-dresser.
