Donald Trump is expected to nominate ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as his secretary of state, two sources close to the transition process told NBC News on Saturday.

The 64-year-old veteran oil executive has no government or diplomatic experience, although he has ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The pick would put to rest weeks-long speculation of who would earn the post as the U.S.'s top diplomat, and would place Tillerson fourth in line to the presidency.

I agree. This pick on the heals of Obama ordering investigation into Russian involvement into the election. Then Trump picks someone Putin loves and adores. Just gives the fake news folks more fuel to the fire against Trump and Russian conspiracies.

It really does seem Trump wants a food fight on this.

This pick of a guy Putin has given a medal to absolutely feeds into the nonsense the Dems are pushing about Putin/Russia. The problem is Trump is now POTUS and yanking chains like this has real world consequences. If he is not careful we are going to get into the same situation we had with the kenyan where nobody trusts the United States.

A contact high up in Exxon Mobil tells me Tillerson is an unabashed globalist.

Thanks for the link. Looks like Brietbart is going negative on two Trump picks in a row, first Puzder and now Tillerson.

When Breitbart, the biggest pro-Trump site on the web, raises opposition, you know there are concerns with the pick.

Yeah, if Trump has lost Breitbart this one is over. And I see they don’t even mention the homos and the boy scouts that Tillerson was knee deep in. Tillerson is a globalist America last poster boy. I don’t like the Treasury and Labor picks but can somewhat understand them. But this one is light years worse than those.

Interesting about stock options, yes a conflict of interest indeed. Thanks for sharing that tidbit.

A mega corp squash the little guy with regulations like carbon tax globalist. The worst flavor imaginable. Guys like this have no interest in MAGA.

It is one thing to sin but be aware of it and work against it.

It is completely another thing to blatantly act against the word of God AND PUT CHILDREN IN HARMS WAY BECAUSE OF IT.

Christians know the difference.

Precisely what my contact says. Rather than working to deliver the best product at the most competitive price, Exxon worked the lobbyist game to lock out competition and play inside DC baseball, instead.

Yes, there are three picks now that I don’t like. Isn’t Cohn a Democrat? Anyway, this is the concerning part. You have people like Jeb!, Paul Ryan, and other previously anti-Trump establishment shills praising these picks:

I want the swamp drained - not new alligators. Rudy should have been SOS, and Christie, Huckabee, Gingrich, and Palin should get roles somewhere. These are the people that stood by him from the beginning.

“in 2007, Tillerson argued against U.S. energy independence—”

Doesn’t sound good. Maybe someone can explain why Mr. Trump would pick someone who is “diametrically opposed to what Trump supports with energy policy.”

So you’re saying Trump should be scared and change his plans by Obama’s little moves?

You’re right. There’s not a sliver of daylight between the dem party and CPUSA anymore.

That is why the CPUSA has not run a candidate in the past several Presidential elections. They have publicly stated they had no need because the Democrat party platform supported everything they supported. The press never published a word about that.

There are many writers at Breitbart. Some good, some write completely illogical arguments.

Read the arguments, see if they have merit.

There be Trolls on this thread. Rex Tillerson is as ‘merican as you could want.
Son of a bread truck driver. And..
Exxon does not bribe tin-hat regimes. He has relentlessly demanded expense cuts - flat to down - in administrative functions within Exxon
. He has negotiated with leaders of over 50 countries without the support or expectation that the US government would bail Exxon out. Personally, he is a real God fearing “Boy Scout.” He can dance a mean two-step- no pupon mustard and he negotiated the TXO merger while quail hunting in South Texas with Bob Simpson. Rex did not need to stop in the nearest convenience store and ask - “where can I get me a huntn license?”

So, he can two-step...

But he is against U.S. energy independence. How is that ‘merican?

Per Roger Stone, the establishment has shown up and is attempting to slither in. They want to be his friend now.

Are you family? Do you expect fair haired Rex to wear his Russian medal to confirmation hearings?
