Another county has rejected grants covered by HUDs Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing rule, effectively nullifying a federal program designed to gain control over local communities.
New HUD regulations known as Affirmatively Further Fair Housing (AFFH), totaling 377 pages in all, give unelected HUD bureaucrats broad powers over grant recipient communities, including the power effectively negate decisions by local voters and force them to join regions against the their wishes. Under AFFH, the federal government can control zoning, planning, land use, location of public transportation, and even the socioeconomic diversity of elementary and secondary classrooms.
In August, Forsyth County commissioners voted 5-0 to decline a federal grant from the HUD Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program.
Rather than submit to federal control, the commission elected to simply reject the funding.
According to Property Value Defense, the primary issue with AFFH rules lies in its promotion of regionalism.
HUD, DOT and the EPA have been instrumental in fostering regionalism since 1993.Towns, counties and states need to follow the lead of these local communities and reject federal funding with all of its strings. These agencies are working feverishly to infill suburbs by transplanting urban families into the outlying communities, which then merge with nearby counties and towns into larger regions managed by unelected councils.
Even HUDs new Assessment of Fair Housing, the document applicants must complete to receive AFFH related grants, requires grant recipients to align their local plan with a regional plan.

How neat is that! Forsyth County, just outside the influence of Metro Atlanta, has been one of the reliably conservative counties. Good for them.
Marked for later reading.
Obama wants NO RURAL communities or Suburbs....he wants everyone in CITIES!!
Wonder what Dr. Carson will think of this?
This is consolidation of all government by degrees. Like seeding musloids around the country, this tyranny from HUD is designed to destroy the civil society. Rest assured wealthy rat neighborhoods are not affected.
In July of 2011, Mike Kruglik, David Rusk and Myron Orfield met in the White House and presented their “Building One America” plan. Kruglik & Obama go back to his “community organizing” days in Chicago. Orfield has written a book titled, “Metropolitics: A Regional Agenda for Community and Stability”. Rusk has written a book titled, “Cities without Suburbs”.
He wants to bring the cities to the rural areas.
Regionalism is the path to NAU via Agenda 21 or whatever its latest incarnation is. The least populated rural areas become depopulated ‘wildlife corridors’. Services and taxes are regional. Autonomy vanishes. You can live where people are allowed, but decisions and power reside in the Regional Hubs.
It’s how they ‘fix’ the cities they’ve destroyed.
Maybe this is related to an unknown party from Homeland Security trying to hack into the Georgia voter registration data base ( reported yesterday)
Not obama
He’s just a tool
This social engineering is part of Agenda 21
No one is paying attention except conspiracy nuts

This sounds like a problem that President Trump can and should solve.
If someone doesn’t put on the brakes, north Forsyth will be as overcrowded as south Forsyth. I liked it better when everyone though anything above exit 14 was straight out of Deliverance.
Good news (i’m in Forsyth).
Hehe. We live well north of Exit 17. Go to where the little sign reads “400 ends” and turn right.
You can still hear banjo music near us.
P.s. Hall County and Forsyth County both went about 85% for Trump.
Thank God for this!
I wish Cherokee County did the same, but these corrupt asshats caved in and now we have all sorts of welfare parasites invading our once beautiful towns and counties.
I love where you live - wonderful part of N GA!
Good for them!
People are voting with their feet to move to Forsyth County GA. That is another form of electoral college voting where small geographic areas can override the will of the masses.
Especially distressing is that successful, hardworking minorities who vote Republican are moving to Forsyth County and exacerbating the poverty of the minority communities which they reject and flee.
