It’s very funny. They had reruns on tv here along with Mr Bean, and Fawlty Towers.

ok, yeah i am a Jesus bug, but if you let God serve salvation to you, then your whole life will become a comedy, in the classic sense
God knows how to do a joke too, a joke on the devil.

Also the norm...early 70s..a Dial soap commercial

It’s sad to think that everyone who was a member of the main cast of that show is now dead (except for Mike Berry who joined in the last season I believe).

My grandmom loves watching that on PBS...Mrs. Slocum is funny and Mr. Grace is a typical old man...

Has Mrs. Slocum not gotten a pet cat yet? I thought at least one reference to it was required per episode.

Great show...particularly in the early years.Miss Brahms was damn hot but Mr Mash was my favorite character. In one scene he was "bathing" a female dummy that had no clothes on.Captain Peacock was unnerved by that and instructed Mr Mash to bathe them "in a petticoat" (meaning that the dummy would be clothed).Mr Mash replied,in that Cockney accent of his "very well,Captain Peacock...is it all right if I keep me socks on?"
Classic...classic!

To bad Hollywood can’t write funny stuff like that.

The old British Comedies and some of the new are far better fair than what’s being served up over here.
