Pretty common in N.C. actually. I hooked a catfish that bent a 00 bass hook straight one night.
At the base of some of the earth dams in Lake James they get 6’ to 7’ long.

The picture is obviously ‘taken” out in the wild. He also said he released it after the picture was taken, so presumably it was still alive then. So, the question is.....How did he weigh it?
