Peng first made General Tso's chicken in the 1950s I thought it was personally made for a famous Chinese general back in the Ch'in Dynasty or something?

For more than 50 years, the poor General never got to eat his chicken because everyone else beat him to it.... tsk, tsk...

I saw a thread on this a little while ago. Now, here it is two hours later and I’m reading about it again.

OMG, happening to see this on the list on opening the “general” page.
Ode to my old mentor, who ordered General Tso’s chicken whenever work called for take-out!

I've never figured out whether General Tso's Chicken is supposed to be a main course or dessert. All the versions I've seen are basically plates of candy. Good though.

98 years old? Hmmmmm? from now on, Gen. Tso’s chicken at the take out. 98, sounds like he had a happy ending too.

Interestingly, Arthur Radford, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Eisenhower administration, was a strong advocate of Eisenhower’s policy of increasing our reliance on nuclear weapons at the expense of conventional forces. The Kennedy-Johnson administration reversed this approach.
