Note: As long as MJ was alive, he was powerful and rich and he made a lot of money for other powerful and rich people. When he was alive the allegations and rumors were tamped down and they kept a lid on it. After he was dead, there was more money to be made off the sensationalism of the stories, so they became more known. (Similar with Bill Cosby. Once he was too old to make money as a comedian/actor/spokesperson, it was more profitable to make money off the story of his crimes and downfall.)

See, this is what this comment means, to me:
“There is plenty of evidence, if you lower the standard of evidence because YOU WANT TO BELIEVE IT.”
That’s called confirmation bias. I try not to indulge in it.
If someone was making the same claims against someone we are fond of, for example, Donald Trump, then 99% of the board would be here with me saying “show us some real evidence”. But, since these accusations are made against your ideological opponents, people want to believe they may be true, so they are naturally not as skeptical. This is the same reason liberals are not skeptical when people call Donald Trump the next Hitler. They don’t require any solid evidence for the claim, because they want to believe it.
I don't believe that for a second, because that's not how conservatives, or especially most Freepers, are wired. Were not as tolerant as liberals, and don't defend phony conservatives when they do something wrong, especially something as immoral as this. No one defended Hastert, Foley, or any of those creeps claiming to be conservative. I don't see anyone defending you, now either.

Remember, there were actual accusers, witnesses, evidence, etc in those cases. That isn’t the case with “pizzagate”, or in the example I was talking about, so you are comparing apples to oranges.
Did conservatives simply accept the media claims about Trump’s racism, absent any evidence? No, they were skeptical, and rightly so.

Here’s some new evidence they just determined - the avatar (profile picture) that the Comet Pizza owner used for his Instagram account is a picture of a statue of a 13 year old sexual victim of a Roman Emperor.
Is this one piece of evidence enough to convict, of course not, but it is yet another piece in a case building against him. To claim it somehow helps the case he is innocent and being unfairly investigated is kooky liberal mindset on full fisplay

There is no “case he is innocent”. It is a presumption that he is innocent, unless evidence is produced against him, which so far hasn’t really happened. The idea that people should have to make a case to prove they aren’t pedophiles is ludicrous.
It’s pretty much the same as if someone had a picture of Lolita for their profile picture. No proof of guilt, but still...
Nothing’s proven yet, but more evidence is being gathered every day, and this is a very interesting piece. What excuses do you have for while he would have that picture for his profile?

Why should i make excuses for him? Having an antique Roman statue as your profile picture isn’t a crime. In case you weren’t aware, probably at least half (if not more) of the notable figures from Roman and Greek history were pederasts. Is everyone who owns a statue, or has a picture of a statue of say, Alexander the Great a pedophile?
