A good housecleaning and recount in ILL-ANNOY would likely reveal a Trump victory in this state, too. Remove the duplicate voters, dead voters, non-citizen voters, non-secure ballot boxes and diddled voting machines, I think Trump would be in the WIN column.

upheld the consent decree while adding a Dec. 1, 2017, expiration date

Does this mean the damn thing finally goes away in a year even if we do nothing, or can the DNC and its pet judge (who long ago retired except to maintain this damn decree) stretch it out further somehow? If the former we just need to get Trump through in spite of it and then in a year he can lay the hammer down.

“Trump should threaten a California recount.” I agree. 55 Electoral votes for one candidate is not fair, and having illegals voting is also unfair. Thus, a slow recount of California votes would reveal the illegal votes, the lame “winner take all” rule, and the vast popularity of Trump is CA.

That's my understanding.

or can the DNC and its pet judge (who long ago retired except to maintain this damn decree) stretch it out further somehow?

Not without a fight I would assume.

What the founders created was quite genius especially considering all of human history before it. The electoral college, while not perfect, was a very sound idea to negate the idea of large cities running the country. It quite simply makes us the Untied States of America, not the united few cities of America.

That being said, you are right, it still allows big population centers to have a very powerful hand. In my opinion, the electral college would work better if electoral votes were per county. This would help, especially in CA where most of the state is determined by the few large population centers.

Wonderful! And now with Trump at head of GOP there would be a fight.

The whole number of electors appointed...

The word, appointed, seems to be key here. At what stage of the electoral process are electors considered to be appointed?

Is it when they're chosen by their respective states' party apparatus, or is it when they're assembled in Congress for the final vote?

If it's the former, then there will be 538 electors, and the winner MUST receive at least 270 electoral votes to be declared President.

If it's the latter, then the number of electors could change, thereby changing the number of electoral votes needed to be declared President.

Exactly. When are they appointed? December 13 is a deadline for what? Appointing your electors? December 19 is when they vote.

Yes, I was wondering the same thing.

The December 13th date has been mentioned several times here, but I'm not exactly sure if that's when all of the electors are counted, sworn in, "appointed", registered, or what.

I'm going to do a search to find that info.

Ok, I found this, so far:

December 13, 2016

"States must make final decisions in any controversies over the appointment of their electors at least six days before the meeting of the Electors. This is so their electoral votes will be presumed valid when presented to Congress."

Electoral College Key Dates

You are correct about the meaning of "appointed" being the key.

Have a look HERE for the analysis that was the basis for my earlier post,

Interesting times for sure.

I live in California and we have many illegals posing as citizen using stolen I identification. I am positive that at least 20 percent of the vote is illegal.

Got something simpler than that. We are broken down to the basic interchange of the people between the feds with the states. Give each state only one vote, make them vote the way their popular vote ended, and, since they are represented in congress like a state, give the D.C one vote also to alleviate a tie. This allows equal protection under the law to all states, no matter how they are populated. All states must vote, they can’t change their vote from their popular decision, and all votes must be counted by the states. If the election is done legally, it won’t take any longer and will take the electoral college vote away from the government and make it just a number determined by the votes of the people, and not by the masses in given areas.

red.

Trump should simply have Congress pass an update to the 1993 Motor Voter Act...that requires PROOF of citizenship for anyone who previously had to just check that box. And also mandatory, national photo voter ID for Federal elections, with free ID services available for the homebound/disabled. No Democrat would be elected ever again.

It looks like this was planned in the 11/13 meeting with Soros, et al. They planned it and Clinton joined when it was too late to challenge CA. The obvious counter move for Trump is not to tweet his outrage. You must challenge three states that neutralize the possibility that three states electors are not seated and some judge rules that you have to have 270. (not half of votes cast) And btw challenge the absentee ballots where there is a paper trail for each and every voter. Concentrate on NV, CO, and MN.
