I have a dim recollection that during the early stages of the Republican primaries, specifically just before one of the debates, one of the candidates (Carson?) was accumulating likes or new followers or however these things are measured at a similar unnaturally steady pace.

I think it was one of those ‘crowdfunding’ efforts. If the kids want to put their money into it, let them. The results won’t change, and if Florida, 2000 is any indication, Trump will likely come out of it with even MORE votes.
