OOPS! I should have put (vanity) in title.

Can a nice moderator please fix the title for me so people know this is a vanity. I don’t want people thinking I have heard something official on this this or something. I am just speculating that Trump will restore our right to snatch up guns from overseas again.

Thanks sincerely.

I’d like for him to rescind GHW Bush’s EO limiting the importation of firearms that do not have a “sporting purpose”. Little pr!ck

Why should this be any concern at this time?

Yes I would bet on it. And South Korea a few years ago wanted to send their stock of Garands and carbines back to the US. Obama stopped it.

I don't know about the Soviet Union but I believe South Korea has M1 Garrands that they are trying to repatriate to the U. S.

Just for your info, according to collectors and BATF these guns are referred to as “relics.” “Antique” guns are those made in 1898 or before.

I don’t know but I don’t have any strong feeling that the president-elect is really very strong on second Amendment issues. Or voters.
So I’d recommend keeping an eye on firearms sites for offerings.

I won't hold my breath but..., I am certain that there are 200,000 plus "Antiques" out there that could be marketed! What condition they are in is another question....Caveat Emptor!"

That's a worthy thought, no doubt about it. Maybe he can put an end to destroying used mil brass too.

Leftover WW-II or Korean war weapons would be questionable at best. I’d rather he made it legal to import Imbel FAL rifles and parts for them.

Why don’t you post this on Trumps site, https://apply.ptt.gov/yourstory/.
It is tell your story and make America Great. Would real like to have a M1 Grand to match the M1A.

Supposedly a large amount of 1911’s were destined to be released (10,000/yr) to the CMP for civilian purchase but was blocked by John McCain as he wants to send them to Rock Island to be melted.

Not thousands and thousands.

Hundreds of thousands.

And that’s just South Korean M1-Garands.

Trump hasn’t found his voice in the RKBA conversation yet.

As a New Yorker, I don’t think guns are even in his thought process. I don’t expect ANY gun legislation to happen during even during a full 8 year term.

SCOTUS SCOTUS SCOTUS SCOTUS

That’s all he has to do. Just get us our justices and we’ll take over from there.

All things in their proper time - so much more important stuff on his plate for right now.

I would hazard it may be a natural progression as he solidifies the accomplishment of his agenda. I'm for getting the important stuff done then looking at the "would sure be nice" stuff. But....he's efficient enough that things like this may be "squeezed" into some of the big issues.
