Yeezus for president?
The outspoken rapper talked about his plans to run for president in 2020 during a recent interview with BBC radio host Annie Mac.
“When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views,” he told Mac. “I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the (the) truth. If there is anything that I can do with my time to somehow make a difference while I’m still alive, I’m all for it.”
Much to the delight of his fans — and shock to just about everyone else — West, 39, announced he was running for president during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
And then on Tuesday, after Donald Trump's shocking presidential win against favored nominee Hillary Clinton, the hashtag Kanye2010 started trending on social media, and many pleaded for him to run in four years.
"So #Kanye2020 looks pretty realistic now, huh? #ElectionDay#ElectionHangover," one fan wrote.
Another added, "There's only one man who can save us now #kanye2020 #ElectionNight."
West has previously met with President Obama and Clinton but did not endorse either candidate for this year's election.
